A panther in the grasslands
Here I am, like a panther in the grasslands. As exciting as the view might be to you, this just means that I have crashed out of Secondlife while IM'ing with one of my colleagues. The conversation wasn't very exciting either: there are just often a lot of new girls around who need advice on everything.
Insecure as they are, they allow some of the clients to press their escorting rates down. Then they still won't make much money, but they'll make it harder for everyone else to earn a living. After a few weeks, maybe a month, they give up on 'the life' again.
Very annoying. Especially because I use a sound radar in-world to detect new people coming within chat range. This enables me to walk away from the screen or do some other things online from time to time. Things like writing on this blog... I use a separate list of colleagues to filter out the irrelevant entries of new people.
With all the new girls all the time, a lot of my alerts become 'false positives'. This is even worse because many of these girls have absolutely no idea of what they are doing and they just teleport around when they don't see a man in the area immediately. That they won't find a guy if they don't have the patience to wait for a little while in a good spot never seems to occur to them.
Meanwhile, the good whores suffer the damage. And every now and then they crash out too, like me now.
This doesn't mean the girl who IM'ed me is one of the 'one-day-fly' hookers of course. I simply don't know her yet. She will be able to prove herself, like everyone else.
