Kath's rezzday party - 2021

I realised that I had not blogged in 2 months. I have been infrequent before, but this time it is really because I was simply depressed with the situation in RL. I never talk RL normally on this blog, so I'll keep this short: like so many people the pandemic has been a long drag on me. Fortunately, not too many bad things happened in my circles so far.

5 years ago I blogged about Kath's rezzday party. I realise that in my older blogs many pictures have missing links: this is due to Snapzilla changing it's links all at once at some day in the past. I have updated a few of them, but repairing my entire blog is too much work. I will do it piecemeal as I see fit. Maybe one day it will be done. Or not.

So, 5 years down the line, Kath spent another 50.000L on a party. It was supposed to last for 24 hours, but the owners of Street Whores were wise enough to talk her out of that and cut it back to an 'acceptable' 12 hours.

 

It was a lot of fun, with Kath and Bo on the stage. I only staid for 2.5 hours in the evening, but I was told that it was basically busy all the time. Whotter amused himself too.

A little chat on sunday morning

Kath walked by to say hello this morning, just when I was wondering to blog about. Sunday mornings used to be good for business, catching late-night American clients, but it seems lately the American market has dried up here lately, in favour of the European. It might just be a thing of this region...
She mentioned the other place, where I had used her apartment previously. Apparently, some pimp had robbed them of 300.000L$. That's pretty bad. It sounds a bit like the scams and robberies that were all over SL in the old days. To me, it also sounded like someone had been very naive.

So, what else happened the past few weeks?

I had a little chat with Rachael, who has left us at Street Whores and is now an owner in another region. She seems to be doing well. I'm happy for that.

And Whotter showed up with a truck, that he got somewhere to transport his fish. I am not sure where he had bought it, or whether he even stole it, but he was creating quite the havoc with it. I allowed this for a little while, as I hoped he would drive it over the tyre kicker that followed me and Bojana around that day. Unfortunately, the tyre kicker had been smart enough to leave the scene in time...

Kathrine's rezz day party

Yesterday there was the huge party that was planned for Kathrine, the tall blonde girl that I got to know for her outfits when she started to work here: she appeared starch naked half the time, even when it was freezing. It was predicted to be a busy party, especially with the giveaway action: every 15 minutes there was an amount of 2000L given to one of the people on the dance floor.

It got busy indeed! Suzi even mentioned that she had never had as many people in the square as yesterday night. Of course this also caused a few issues: I crashed out twice and the 'Prize diamond' that was supposed to hand out the money was poorly understood by the party people. The thing being a 'skill-based game', as we have them in Second Life since 2007's gambling ban, which was a severe blow to in-world prostitution as well, needed to be clicked in a certain way by the selected prize winner.
In the end the 'prize diamond' was readjusted and the prizes were given out by hand by our lovely French hooker Bojana. This saved a lot of trouble.

And Kathrine? Well the rezz day girl had a great night. I have to thank her for making this possible and inviting us!

Someone told me that with 20.000L in prize money the event would advertise itself. Let's see!
