A new beginning for Street Whores

Sometimes things move really fast in Second Life. Did I just write down how Linden Lab cleared the land on Friday the 13th, this Monday the 16th the land was bought up by Jess, owner of X-Sisters, in an auction that is already the stuff of legends.
She writes about it herself in her blog. I recommend it. It sounds like a crazy adventure that my friends went through, snatching the near region-sized parcel away before the greedy hands of land barons...

The weekend before the auction ended I knew already that there were plans. I was shown a built on the size of Street Whores, safely tucked away on Jess' own home region. But yes, you never know if the plan will materialise.

 

And this is us, at the new square in front of the pub, in the actual region

We are only a few days further now and already half the rentals of the rebuilt Street Whores are filled up. You can feel the vibe as you walk in and see the old gang, new girls and curious gawkers go around the place.

For all of these, and more, there will be a Grand Re-Opening Party of course. This Sunday at 10AM, Second Life Time (That is PDT, or SLT as we often say in Second Life itself). There will be DJ's, hookers and no doubt general mayhem as we kick off for a fresh new start.

The end of Street Whores after 14 years

Yesterday was friday the 13th. I am not supersticious, but who would have guessed that near 8AM SL time on that day my items from Streetwhores would all be returned to me by the Linden who is responsible for land clearances...

And as I walked in, still in a bikini, as I came from the X-Sisters Bear Bar, I just saw an empty field. It can be hard to swallow, to see your home in Second Life for 14 years vanish like that. I am still not sure what I would want to write about it right now.

And, seen from the other side, still empty for many years, but existing, the place where I worked a couple of weeks before I found Street Whores and moved in there: Whore-Inn. Strange.

Street Whores was repossessed

 This morning I logged in, still dressed in bikini, to my home location, or at least I thought I was, only to find myself out on a Linden Road looking at a banline. My home was obviously behind that.

It's a sad sight, but I somehow expected it to happen sooner or later now. Lately I have been paying my rent by the week, ever since Street Whores had been repossessed a previous time on 22 May. I hadn't blogged about that occasion.
I may talk about the details later, but this is basically a case of serious neglect by the place's new owners, who took over from Suzi Ah last year.
This is just what happens if you fail to pay for your tier. Let's hope someone will be able to revive or rebuild the place somehow.

 After the sad news, I decided to go over to X-Sisters and sit there at the beach bar for a drink, or two, or three. We even allowed Whotter to play 'Theme from Titanic' on his recorder...

Boxing Orgy on 7 September

The coming weekend we have a 'Boxing Orgy' upcoming at X-Sisters. What is that about? What will the evening be like?

 

The boxing orgy will take place on Saturday 7 September, starting at 12PM (that is noon) SLT. At our new boxing arena. A previous one was held last year and it was all about boxing matches and lots of sex. The latter part I understand, for the first I am badly in need of some exercise, as my boxing practice with Whotter showed...

I didn't spend all of my time on the floor though. A walk towards the teleporter brought me to our boxing arena, so I could explore the grounds for the Boxing Orgy a bit in advance.

The entrance area is from a spot with some city background. There is a hamburger joint too. And when you enter there is this large arena, lots of seating. And in the middle of it a ring, where all of the action is going to take place.

A chat with Chandra (who also knocked me out in practice) taught me that the Boxing Orgy will start with a series of boxing matches between the X-Girls, that the audience can bet on. Then later on it will be a lot of hot sex. The previous edition lasted over 4 hours. Some of my colleagues could hardly stand on their legs the next day, so I was told...

I sure like to be a part of it the coming saturday. Are you coming as well?
