Rachael Ezvalt

Today I received sad news: Rachael Ezvalt, whom I have known for many years. Possibly back from 2010 when I first walked the streets at Street Whores, is no longer with us.
Rachael had not logged in for the past 3 weeks and her Second Life partner, Ayesha, yesterday got confirmation that she had passed away, little over a week ago. Jess, her friend at co-worker at X-Sisters mentioned this in her blog.

Rachael was a force of nature and everyone who met her probably remembers her: not just because of her avatar, but also because of the way she communicated. Her humour and her practical jokes were always around.

Rachael Ezvalt invented the Box Whores

Rachael one day told us all to wear boxes over our heads and thus the 'Box Whores' were born...

I am a bit at a loss for words, so I will just try to embed a song from her SoundCloud. Rachael loved to DJ and her techno was well-known whereever she went. Everytime there is a party I still request 'Little Fish', by Leftfield, a song I know thanks to her, for my son Whotter.

We have a fan

While I was talking with a man on the streets, TJ hit me up in IM and showed me a link to his photo album on Flickr. It seems Whotter and I have a fan...

As seen through my legs, TJ sits down with Whotter

TJ made this shot of Whotter and his keytar, part of my son's rockstar aspirations, as seen from through my legs. TJ hit us up on the streets a while later and we would visit SL20B, the 20th Second Life birthday celebrations.

As TJ stated: "Whotter is my favourite author!"

Fish, again. But Whotter likes to have a fan. Thanks to TJ for the lovely photos.

Whotter's 10th rezzday party

I can't believe it's been 10 years already since my baby was born in Second Life, but yes:

The party area is being setup

Today we are celebrating Whotter's 10th rezzday! There will be a party with DJ Clau and prizes for the best-dressed 3 party-goers in 'Best in Fish'.

Don't worry, Whotter won't be the jury on this one and you won't end up in a frying pan...

Whotter is fascinated by the aquarium already

The party will start at 1PM SL Time and will be at: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Hoogenach/91/184/66

Saint Valentine's Day at Momma Kita's stage

Saint Valentine's Day will be fun again at Street Whores. When I walked in this morning I saw Momma Kita's stage, that has stuck around since the holidays, sprinkled with rose leafs and there was a bunch of girls dancing on it.

There will be a party with DJ Clau tonight at 1PM SL Time. (Yes, that is tonight for me, as I am not based on the west coast of the USA) The party will be until 3PM. Of course at: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Hoogenach/91/184/66

Whotter has been having his share of fun already: Annie has given him a bucket, which is similar tot he beer bucket at No.5 Bar, but gives out dried fish if you buy them for him. Some of the girls have already tried to recycle dried fish in the bins at the bar. To their surprise, fish recycling didn't work...

Dancing around the Christmas tree

For the holidays, Momma Kita and Annie had prepared a nice dancing stage, at a square at Street Whores. And this time it didn't look like something that should be inside a building, but it was a piece of actual square decoration. Usually it doesn't make much sense to me to dance in the street, but because of it's looks, I decided to give it a go.

Whotter soon discovered it too, playing on his new musical instrument, a keytar... No one even tried to flee the scene or stop him to play, so I suppose he is making progress. One friendly neighbour even got him an entire bucket of fish.

It seems to be a great team: Kita decorates and Annie scripts. The owners want to keep the stage and adapt it to the seasons, I heard. Let's see how it evolves.
