 And this is the famed panties vendor where the girls get their panties, so that the punters can figure out ways to obtain those later...

How did Whotter end up sitting next to Philip Rosedale at the Second Life Bookclub?

 

It wasn't because of his good behaviour, that's for sure. When I took Whotter to the bookclub again last night (That's noon in San Francisco, Second Life time, in this case) he was soon distracted. The author that Draxtor had as guest was Larry Niven, but Whotter was more interested in some beach ball that someone rezzed and he started chasing. He only got quiet again after Strawberry Linden (she does the production for presenter Draxtor) sat down on the empty seat next to me and I told him she would give him a fish if he staid put.

A little lie, maybe you will think it is a bit mean, but it works. Even though Whotter is actually smarter than he looks. He just has a limited vocabulary...

And then Philip walked in...

In the years that Second Life's founder was still CEO (or when Mark Kingdon was CEO, working for the Lab) we knew him in-world as Philip Linden, now he belongs to a select group of people who go by their own name in Second Life. I said hi, of course, not because a girl in my position has to do whatever it takes, but because it's the polite thing to do when someone enters the room.

And then Strawberry stood up and Philip sat down next to Whotter.

Then it was time to listen to Larry Niven, who would share many interesting views on interstellar travel and other subjects.
He seemed at ease in a virtual world. The author of  'Ring world' may be 82 years old, but he had no problems walking or sitting down on the couch, as some much younger authors often have at the bookclub. Even though he told Philip later that he 'knew nothing about computers'. I suppose that when a science fiction author says this, it means something different than when you or me say it.

I told Whotter that Philip Rosedale would give him a fish if he sat still and the show began...

Live concert of Akilikos - the party

I blogged about our first live concert taking place at Street whores. Last tuesday was the day!

Akilikos performed with his band, rocking Street Whores, that had 39 people in the region at the one moment I counted it. It might have been more at some point, as I heard people complain that they could not enter the region anymore. In Second Life that means one thing when you have a music event: succes!

The usual suspects showed up and also plenty new guests. A band brings his own crowd along of course. Whotter certainly liked it, after I got him some tipping money, that his name was shouted out aloud by the singer. He was still raving on about it two days later. I considered looking for dutct tape to shut the little bugger up.
Naturally, the worst sluts in the crowd, well you can guess who they are..., tried to hit on Akilikos as soon as his wife had left after the party. Akilikos wasn't seen with one of us at an afterparty though. His wife must keep him in check well.

And we should be happy for that, as we actually would like to see him perform here again. Best keep him out of trouble then. ;-)

Live concert of Akilikos

Yes, there is live music in Second Life and quite a lot of it. They're building up a big stage for the live concert of Akilikos here tomorrow, Rock 'n Roll! Warm up will be with DJ Clau.

 This will be the first live concert ever at Street Whores. So we're pretty excited. It starts at 1 PM SLT (This is 1PM San Francisco time/10PM Amsterdam time). You can find the stage at: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Hoogenach/89/171/65

The Slut Machine

At No. 5 bar they have installed an interesting new device: a 'slut machine'.

It's actually a gacha that has as rare prize a 15 mins blowjob. The cost is 75L, other prizes you can win are a beer (the bottle can be recycled) or some book and maybe some other things.

Dora Derriere (dora.lane) is one of the 3 girls in the 'Slut Machine' at No. 5 Bar. The other 2 are Fiver herself and Chrissy. It might be fun to try out once. Or you can just go hangout at the bar. I am often there too.

No. 5 bar

When there's no hot action going on, we now have a place for refreshments at Street Whores: the No. 5 bar! We've had cafés before: of course there has been 'The Used Condom' for many years now, with a gangbang / orgy bed on the upstairs, there used to be 'Quickies', run in one of the whorehouses that are for rent here. But No. 5 seems to run especially well these days.

Fiver and Queena rented one of the whorehouses and, thanks to the time and energy they put in it, turned it into a running bar. Fiver knows a few builders and scripters and that really paid off here. At the bar you can buy a beer from the fridge for 50L. Bottles can be recycled in the bin in the bar corner for 25L.
So there you've got an addional earning model for the slow hours: ask guys to buy you a drink and recycle the bottles. It won't get you rich any soon, but if you're a heavy drinker you will be able to make the rent. Just hang out in the bar long enough!

The bar even has it's own paper: No. 5 Classifieds. In the first edition already an advertisement could be found for Whotter's Fish & Chips...

Hollywood Party at Street Whores

It was time for a party again. Whotter was happy, because that meant he could stay up late now (again, since we visited the Second Life Bookclub earlier this week where he behaved like a little barbarian again).

DJ Claudine spinned for the entire duration of the party, 2 hours. We all had lots of fun, Whotter, wearing his tiny Cthulhu outfit (What is it with those monsters and little children?) even won one of the prizes.
Later on the party got quite raunchy, especially when the DJ was stripped naked, a thing she promised for sufficient tips, and later on even had sex on stage.
