A battle against the 'Online Safety Bill'

A controversial British 'Online Safety Bill' that will be enforced starting March has quite the overreach when it comes to fundamental human rights, privacy foremost. Jess has blogged about it in two recent posts on her website. I will link them here.

In the first post she outlines what the possible consequences are for her website and what options she would have as a provider of (Second Life) pornography in the UK:

One of the things she has out is the T-shirt of course. There is also a protest sign. Both are available on marketplace, or inworld at the X-Sisters Shop.

Meanwhile the Cheng family is now fully in her outfit, minus Whotter of course. Only the sign will fit him so far...

Winter and a new year at Street Whores

The holidays are over and I am happy things return a little bit to normal for me now. I like one-on-one contact better than all the social pressure with the holidays.

We had a lot of fun at Street Whores though, with the Home Decoration Contest and the Christmas Party. On New Year's Eve (whenever that is in SL as we are all in different timezones) Jess had lit fireworks that went off every hour.

 

Virginia Stella organised 2 DJ's for the Christmas party and made these wonderful photos. It was a lot of fun, but oh boy, was I tired afterwards.

Meanwhile, Whotter and Ngọc befriended my friend's daughter Kvêta. One day after the weekly Second Life rolling restart I suddenly saw them all stand together on my roof, overlooking the streets. It was a bit strange to see Whotter and Kvêta not going at eachother's throats.

 

 

Otherwise, it is business at usual. With just the little change that my house is getting a bit small now, with my daughter now providing a large chunk of the family income. I had to get myself earplugs.

A sister for Whotter

We all know how crazy Second Life can be. The past weekend it brought me and my son Whotter an addition to the family: Ngọc. Due to our home location she had to be born fully-developed and 18+. What can I say? It saves some work buying child avatars and accompanying furniture?

Ngọc Thị Cheng was born with everything fully developed and all mature. As actually most of us choose to do in this virtual thought. Now that is a thought for you.

As sure as she is actually allowed in my home, you are all invited for... well not the baby shower, geez, how do we call the arrival of a mature daughter into this world?

A dance to remember Rachael

Today marks a year since Rachael Ezvalt, my old friend at Street Whores, passed away. We had a little dance last night to commemorate her. At her Memorial Garden at X-Sisters.

 

 

Winter, her partner, came too. She always had beautifully crafted avatars. This time she was a blue dragon, a new shape for us. We looked a bit through the messages left over the past year and made ourselves ready for the dance. Most friends walked in soon after us.

 

 DJ Zach played the set, mostly consisting of songs that Rachael once played herself as DJ or requested. He also included some from her SoundCloud. Some of us wondered who would count the fish in the fishtank, a job Rachael would have reserved for the new trainees at X-Sisters... Whotter volunteered, but we told him he would not be allowed to count fish.

And of course, the boxbot heads returned once again...

 

Whotter Moved out

 

I brought a client to my room and much to my surprise, found whotter sitting in front of my bed. That wasn't very convenient: no one expects an otter in the room when they hire a prostitute. They may fear getting bitten and so. We don't want that... So I sent him off.

Whotter didn't like the idea either it seemed. He hit me up afterwards and expressed his need for more privacy. So I decided to help him find a nice place for himself. But not too far away: family sticks together, after all.
It didn't take me long to find him this nice bungalow tent he could setup on the roof.

It even provided him with the most fantastic view down over the alley and the streets beyond. I think Whotter will really enjoy his new room here on the roof.

Two weeks of Halloween are over

 Wait, Halloween doesn't last two weeks, right? It's just one day? One night even...

It is, but of course, in Second Life, with people in multiple timezones, it will likely last 24 hours. Now imagine you have 2 places you work at within SL: a redlight district and a sex bar. Both organise a Halloween Party, both organise some events leading up to it. Those need to be planned in advance too.

So yes, Halloween takes two weeks or more. And that can be pretty exhausting. But then, you get a whole bunch of people decorating their places at Street Whores. You get this beautiful stage built by Mithrandriel Morningstar, enthousiastic DJ's and volunteers stepping up.

And that gives you party images that are reminiscent of Hieronymus Bosch.

The madness is all worth it really.

The same happened at X-Sisters, where we had the 'Haunted Seduction' skull hunt, with Barflies going crazy to hire the staff and collect as many skulls as possible. Which also got me into quite some steamy sessions...

There was the kettle with the green, bubbling and odd-tasting Halloween Brew, that you would not dare drink any other time of the year..

The graveyard, where the barflies could rent a grave to place their collected skulls.

And of course, various sex locations, like here: The Crypt. Moist and spooky...

A fan wanted a selfie with me

Every day out on the street something unexpected may happen. Like this weekend, a fan hit me up while I was crawling the curbs, greeting some of the new girls that came in at Street Whores and so on.

Who am I to day no to such a fun request. I suggested I could bare the girls to make the selfie a bit more memorable for him. He didn't say no.
